It is said that today, one is as successful as his contacts. Networking is the new buzzword. Everyone from marketers to Internet users want to use the new powerhouse, the Internet, to improve their networking. Move over pubs and discotheques, lounges and clubs, social networking sites are the new happening places. A person’s success is measured in terms of his Twitter followers and contacts in Facebook. To find new followers and attract them to your Twitter page, some must-have items are Twitter follow Buttons and badges.

Before we go into further detail, let us understand the phenomenon of Twitter and how it may be useful not only to individuals but also to corporate houses. Twitter is a micro-blogging tool where the number of characters per update is limited to about 140 per entry. A cross between a blog and instant messaging, it is easy to update entries as messages are short and do not take long to plan and compose (as in a blog post). CEOs can use it to share thoughts when they don’t have time for lengthy communication, the PR department can use it for customer relations, the marketing department uses it for promotions and friends use it simply to keep in touch. Twitter follow buttons make the process more attractive and appealing for all.

An attractive Twitter follow button can be used to leverage online presence of the same user, such as blogs, websites and social networking accounts. So, while one follow button may lead to a personal blog, another may offer special discount coupons for a product, and still another may lead to customer feedback blog postings highlighting the benefits of a product. These buttons offered by different websites come in attractive designs and colors that users find engaging. Some Follow Buttons are animated as well. This increases the effect multifold.

Twitter is the latest marketing tool for corporate houses and marketers, especially in the USA. Today, large companies such as Dell are using Twitter accounts for customer relations and product promotions. Twitter follow buttons are being innovatively used to distribute product coupons and promotional offers, announce sales and deals and pass on information to the target group. Also, companies are using Twitter to monitor their brand and stay in touch with consumers.

When attending events or conferences, live updates on Twitter are a common practice of users. Twitter follow buttons specially designed and incorporated for the purpose are always a hit with everybody. Twitter also provides an easy way to post links to blogs, news articles and other information on the Internet. These posts provide links to blogs and promotional websites, webinars and interesting news.

Theme pages in addition to buttons increase the appeal of the page. For example, during Christmas, a snowy page featuring a Christmas tree with Santa Twitter Follow buttons that lead to special offers, holiday packages and gift ideas has brought in great business for many companies, last year.

Similar innovative uses of Follow buttons are constantly being incorporated by individuals and corporate houses to maximize the exposure from their Twitter accounts. Why lag behind with a dowdy Twitter page? Increase its appeal with your specific Twitter Follow buttons.

Get 1000’s of Twitter Followers Fast

Let’s face it, twitter is the new thing to do. Everyone is using it, from the teeny bopper who wants to chat with friends to the biggest of celebrities and business owners. If you want lots of people to follow you, it is pretty simple to get followers for your twitter. Start today and you will be amazed at just how simple it is! There are several different things you can do to get these followers on twitter, read on to find out what you need to know.

One of the most basic things you can do is to get your followers from other sources that you currently use. Some of these might include your myspace, facebook, or xanga users that you can add to your twitter account. If you have a blog, such as blogspot.com or any other blog, post a blog about your twitter account and your users will be able to find and follow you. You can add it as a signature on any of these sites, or use if as a signature for your email to let people you email see that you use twitter. Email friends, coworkers, or whoever you want to add to twitter, letting them know about your account and ask them to add you or sign up for an account of their own. Each person knows people and provides the potential for more followers. If you use it for business purposes, have it printed onto business cards, or mention it to people you work with. It is so simple!

www.fastcashunlocked.com

Tweet on twitter! Updating this regularly is a great way to get followers because people can see new comments. However, it is important to make sure that the posts you leave are worth reading about and aren’t boring. If you are just tweeting to tweet, you may lose followers, who will become bored with mundane posts. Therefore, tweet about relevant topics often in order to let people find you and get them interested in what you have to say. Use catching topic lines, as this is what is going to draw them into your tweet and follow up with great content. Â

Another great way to get people to add you to their twitters is to look for people to add. Find people that you have conversational topics in common with and ask them questions. If you do, they are likely to answer you back and if you have interesting tweets, they may very well read what you have to say, thereby increasing your twitter followers. Find as many people as you can and comment on their tweets or ask questions. Every question or comment leaves the potential for another follower. If you are pressed for time, try to do just two or three of these a day, and post one relevant post a day. This should produce pretty good feedback and get followers quickly without taking up too much of your time.

www.fastcashunlocked.com

If you want followers, get them from sources you already have, adding existing friends,  tweet about relevant topics often, and get involved with others tweets by asking questions or leaving comments. If you can do these simple tasks, you should be able to create quite a following on twitter before you know it.

The internet has changed the communication industry dramatically. Many people are now discovering ways to stay connected through many online services. Websites dedicated to social networking are also increasing. It’s no longer a surprise to find lots of online communities today and it seems that these communities are becoming an essential part of many people’s lives. Are you familiar with Twitter?

Social networking is an addicting activity. Many individuals want to share their lives online and Twitter is one of the sites that allow quick and easy communication with friends and love ones.

Before you can use Twitter, you must have your own profile page. Twitter is a micro-blogging and social networking website. If you want to publish updates or short messages, you can easily do it through Twitter. The updates are called ‘tweets’. The messages are text-based with a length of 140 characters. You can even use your mobile device to send the updates. Your updates are sent to your friends who also subscribe to Twitter and vice versa.

Do you know the Twitter question? Well, the concept of this social network website revolves around that simple question. What are you doing? This is the question asked by Twitter to its millions of users all over the world. Last year (2008), Twitter ranked third among the most loved and most used social network website after MySpace and Facebook. According to compete.com, Twitter has already around 6 million users as of February 2009 and it is still increasing. Monthly visits to the site totaled to 55 million per month.

The simplicity of Twitter makes it extremely popular among individuals of different age ranges. Users are free to choose how they can receive the tweets – through RSS, SMS, mobile web, etc. The applications like Twitterific and Tweetie are also great. Through APIs, you can easily make updates to your profile page without visiting the actual website of Twitter.

Various individuals use Twitter – from professionals to celebrities, and even political figures. Did you know that President Obama used Twitter for his campaigns? Well, aside from the President, celebrities like Stephen Fry, Shaquille O’Neal, and Britney Spears are also using the site. Large companies use the site to promote their product information and updates like IBM, Whole Foods Market, Sun Microsystems, and Cisco Systems. O2, a UK phone network, is currently using Twitter for answering queries and for customer service.

If you want to get substantial information, use Twitter now. Michael Arrington, a TechCrunch expert, suggested that the site can be developed to provide real-time data by turning it to a search engine. However, Twitter wants to remain simple because it is their philosophy. Their team of experts is studying the various requests from their users because there is still room for huge improvement. For now, the site is en effective social network tool that keeps people connected.

Answer the Twitter question now and set up your very own profile page. Once you have your page, you can now keep in touch with friends, classmates, and lost relatives. Wherever you are, you can receive the updates from your friends so you will know what they are doing; and your friends will also know what you’re doing.

If you want to stay connected, use Twitter; visit their online site now and create your profile page. If you’ve used MySpace and Facebook before, you will also love Twitter.

Wherever you go, you here the buzz surrounding Twitter. Nobody can stop talking about it! So, what is Twitter? Keep reading, and you will find out. The best answer I can give you is that Twitter is a social network and a micro-blog combined into one site. Just like so many others, you are probably so busy that you have difficulty finding the time sit down and check your emails or even instant message. This is why more and more people flock to Twitter everyday.

Twitter calls the messages people send “tweets.” Tweets on Twitter are not allowed to be more than 140 characters. When you tweet, it is posted on your Twitter home page, and then it is sent to all of your followers. What is a follower? A follower is someone who subscribes to a Twitter user. Some people like to call Twitter the online SMS. No matter what it is, breaking news, messages, or updates from another user or friend, any information is available when you use Twitter.

And, there are tons of options when it comes to sending and receiving tweets. Of course, you can directly send tweets through your Twitter site, or you can send via SMS on a mobile phone. There is also the option of using a third-party add-on: Twitterfox by Firefox, Twirl, or Snitter.

Twitter is the hottest, newest social networking website out there. Created by a private business in 2006, Twitter still continues to increase in popularity in the social networking and blogging world. The most fascinating aspect of Twitter is that it was not even created to be a social network, but, as you can see, it is number 3 among the top social sites, such as Facebook and MySpace, on the internet today.

Now that you have some background information on Twitter, we need to go over some of the downsides. Because it has only been online for only a little while, Twitter has had its share of glitches and bugs. One of the biggest issues Twitter has faced is account handling. In the beginning, Twitter was just not prepared for the large number of new users flooding in to register. And, there was several times Twitter had major security issues, causing many new members to leave the website within a month. These are the top reasons that Twitter got a bad rap in the press when they first started out. It increased in popularity from day one, but for negative reasons. Twitter has certainly come a long way in the past several years.

And, you will not believe some of the famous people who use Twitter. In 2007, the Los Angeles Fire Department made use of Twitter to update the public about the devastating California wildfires. Sometimes, NASA even uses Twitter to update about certain projects. Then, there is the United States President, Barack Obama. Everyone is familiar about his election campaign tweeting. Lastly, the Israel government used Twitter to hold press conferences and participate in the question and answer time regarding the ongoing fight against Hamas, Gaza.

You know all about how twitter works, its history, and its users. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up on Twitter today and tweet away.

Connecting Twitter to Your Facebook Account

If you enjoy using Social Media Websites chances are that you would have a Facebook account as well as a Twitter account. Both of these allow you to make updates to your status. By creating a connection between these two accounts you only need to write your message once as it will be posted to the other one automatically.

There are two ways of creating the connection between Facebook and Twitter. You can link your Twitter account to your personal Facebook account; or you can link your Facebook Page to your Twitter account. In the first option the message goes from Twitter to Facebook and in the second option it goes from Facebook to Twitter. For instance if you use Twitter regularly just write your message on your Twitter account and it will be posted automatically on your Facebook account. You will see it on your Facebook profile page and it will appear on the Facebook News Feed. Here is how you can do that in just a few simple teps.

Connecting Your Twitter Account to Your Personal Facebook Account

In this connection when you write a message on your Twitter account it gets automatically posted into your Facebook status and Wall. Here are 5 simple steps how you can make that connection. You need to be logged into your Facebook account in order to do this.

Step 1 – Locate the Twitter Application

The Twitter application as well as many other cool applications are stored in the Facebook Applications area. You can access it directly at the following URL:

http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2231777543

Once you have located the application click the blue ‘Go to Application’ -button.

Step2 – Allow Access

By clicking the ‘Allow’ –button you will authorise Twitter and Facebook create the connection needed. Go ahead and … click.

Step 3 – Log on to Twitter

Next you will need to log in to your Twitter account to make the connection happen.

Since we are creating a connection to your personal Facebook account you should use your personal Twitter account here as well.

Step 4 – Allow Twitter updates

In order to get the automatic update from your Twitter account to show up on your Facebook status you need to click the ‘+ Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status’ –button.

This enables the connection and sends you to the next screen.

Step 5 – Authorisation

This is a bit unnecessary step but you need to click the blue ‘Allow Status Updates’ –button to finalise the operation.

The only good thing about this page is that it gives you the page URL where you can change the settings of this Twitter application as well as your other Facebook applications. Here is the direct link to that page: http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php

Once you click the button you will be back on the previous screen. From this screen you can also update your Facebook status. This will be posted automatically to you Twitter account as well. Please note that when you update your status on your Facebook profile page as you would do normally, it does not post to your Twitter account.

… Congratulations! You’re done!

You have now connected your Twitter account with your personal Facebook account. Everytime you write a new Twitter post it will now automatically show up on your Facebook Profile. Next time we will have a look how to connect your Facebook Business Page to your Twitter business account.

Maybe you don’t know how social media can be used to build your Consulting business. Maybe you feel its just a big waste of time, with no real way you could consistently get clients, build brand or name recognition from using something like twitter.

Lets take a little time here, and let me show you how to build a successful Consulting business using online social media services. Begin with looking at how you already or might be able to use these services. If you spend time speaking to business professionals, or talking to people about business than were on the right path.

Because the social media world is a perfect pool of prospects and professionals.

“The Society for New Communications Research, conducted research which looked at 17,000 Internet users in 29 countries” and found that social media can have a dramatic impact on their brand’s reputation.

”34% post opinions about products and brands on their blog and 36% think more positively about companies that have blogs.”

What impact could that have on your business?

There is no faster way to create credibility and brand recognition than through social media. A valid reason alone for using sites such as Twitter and Face-book. Once you have begun to collect followers who seem interested in you and your business you will be in a position to offer real value to those seeking more info about you and what you have to offer.

That usually comes in the nature of questions in a post. These questions get speared throughout an entire network, and how you answer these questions will reflect your professionalism and personal touch.

Through these occasions of interaction you will be building a “case history” of sorts. You can create a FAQ, list, you can conduct a Survey, invite others for Interviews, and even do some advertising by posting titles and links to helpful articles that you write.

As you can see this is the probably the fastest and most efficient way to interact with prospects. You will very quickly be able to connect to hundreds of thousands of real live people who can contribute to your business. By sending you valuable content and leads.

Social networking has made the process of marketing your eBook much easier. By having a presence on Facebook and Twitter you can position yourself as an expert in your field in a very short time. Even while you are still writing your eBook, get started on these two social media sites and become the go-to person in your niche.

Facebook now has more than one hundred million members, so the best way to let people know about you and your eBook is to start your own group. You can use the title of your eBook as the title of the group you create, provided it is filled with your keywords.

You can invite your Facebook friends to join your group, but people will also be able to find your group by typing your keywords into Google or any other search engine. For example, if you type ebook writing and technology into Google, my Facebook group is number one. How cool is that?

You will also want to create a page on Facebook with the name of the eBook as the title. A page is separate from your profile in that it is specifically about your business or your product, which in this case is your eBook.

This page will also rank high in the search engines, but that is not the only way it will help people to find you and your eBook. When you create a page you can also import your blog’s RSS feed into the page. This means that every time you make a post to your blog it will automatically be syndicated into Facebook. Even though you can do this in other areas of Facebook, being able to import your blog, where you are writing about your niche topic, will give your eBook even more exposure.

My strong recommendation is that you purchase a domain name that is the same as the name of your eBook, and then forward that domain to your page on Facebook. Your blog’s domain name can be something very similar, or it can be exactly the same with a different extension. For example, your blog may end with dot come, whereas your Facebook page may end with dot net. This is a great way to take full advantage of your keywords, while branding your name and your niche at the same time.

Twitter is the other major player in the social networking arena. You can set up your account to automatically tweet your blog posts at certain times each day. When you write about your eBook in one of your blog posts, anyone who is following you on Twitter will see what you have written.

Even though you are limited to 140 characters with each tweet, you can shorten your links by using a site such as tinyurl or bitly. This enables you to provide great information about your eBook in the space you are allowed. You may also want to give out a sample chapter to your Twitter followers so that they can see if this is something they will be interested in purchasing. I recommend doing this while you are still writing, so that you will already have prospects when you are ready to make sales.

The combination of Facebook, Twitter, and your blog will give you the online presence you need in order to sell your eBook and become known to your target audience. By seeing your name in so many places, you will be able to attract new prospects and clients on a regular basis.

By getting involved in social networking right now, you will be able to position yourself as the expert in your niche. People will know who you are and associate you with your topic. There has never been a better time to be online than right now, and social networking speeds up the process of building your list and gaining the credibility and visibility necessary to sell your eBook and building your online empire.
